Inspiration (in spirit) is unseen to the eye, there but not visible yet. It’s what makes inspiration rare and valuable, not quantifiable, tangible, or measurable. It’s just out there in “the air”. It sounds like a form of magic, and I think it is. It’s magic that we can all tap into whenever we allow ourselves to be open to it, always there for everyone.

Solutions to the biggest challenges in life are often the simplest. Let me explain: humans love to make things much more complicated than they need to be, overthinking most everything, so caught up in our thinking we lose all context and vision. We take our eyes off the ball when we’re too busy thinking about how we’re going to catch it, then we’re off thinking what to do after we caught it, and so on.

Our default, fear-based survival programs base our current experience on what’s happened in the past., using that info and projecting what the outcome could be (which makes sense in survival mode). The problem is we’re rarely actually in a real “survival situation”. We put ourselves into “over-thinking mode” and lose the moment we’re in.

We are the CEOs of our own lives, not the managers, or laborers. We call the shots and have the visions and the dreams, but how they play out is out of our control most of the time. Overthinking never helps.

Inspiration is true magic that can change everything, it can add excitement and energy to anything that sparks interest. Because in the end, that’s what makes it all worth doing.
